چکیده

BACKGROUND: In the summer-autumn period, peak of phytoplankton reproduction and flowering occurs results in deterioration quality river water is noted. At same time, cases gastrointestinal diseases humans are recorded, epidemic complications cholera may occur endemic areas. V. cholerae form biofilm on surface chitinous hydrobionts plastic components can lead to spread cholerae, possibly explaining autochthonous mechanism their existence bodies.
AIM: This study determines duration Vibrio preservation biotic (chitin) abiotic (plastic) substrates presence green unicellular algae with a change cultivation temperature under experimental conditions.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: used bacteriological molecular genetic methods achieve its goal.
RESULTS: The toxigenic non-toxigenic strains O1 El Tor O139 (ctxАВ+tcpА+csh1 ctxАtcpАcsh1+) for six months, including three months at low simulating autumn-winter as part biofilms microcosms, where one component microalgae. We noted an excess concentration serogroups by two orders magnitude samples chitin microalgae substrate. probably stage food chain ecology bodies and, accordingly, be reservoir forms vibrios. Preservation strain viable state decreased temperatures 82C due cold shock gene genome.
CONCLUSION: Without substrate adhesion, colonization, formation, vibrios incapable long-term persistence temperatures.

Mutation of Cholera Vibrios

In a previous communication (1931) we showed that colonies obtained from the direct plating of a cholera stool may be variable in their agglutinability to a cholera standard serum and in their lysability to the cholera bacteriophage. Some colonies escape infection by bacteriophage present in the stool, and are lysable by the filtrate of the stool from which they themselves were isolated. From t...

FRI Briefings Non-Cholera Vibrios

Oyster beds in Galveston Bay, Texas, were closed to harvesting during most of the summer of 1998 because 416 persons in 13 states fell ill after eating raw oysters traced to this location (21). Then, just as these shellfish beds appeared to be safe again, New York authorities forbade the harvest of clams and oysters from beds near Long Island in mid-September, after 10 people became ill from ea...

A Study of Invasiveness and Toxicity of Cholera, Para-Cholera and Saprophytic Vibrios in Animals

Koch (1886) studied the effect of cholera vibrios on guinea-pigs by feeding the animals with big doses of the organisms and then paralysing the gut by intraperitoneal injection of 1 c.cm. of tincture of opium so as to delay evacuation. Out of 35 animals, 30 died showing weakness of the hind limbs and collapse. The small intestine was deeply injected and filled with a;flocculent colourless fluid...

Non-agglutinable vibrios causing cholera-like disease in Singapore.

Five strains of non-agglutinable or NAG vibrios have been isolated from stool cultures of patients with cholera -like disease. They resembled the true cholera vibrios culturally, but were inagglutinable by the cholera O -group antisera or the rough anti -cholera serum. The vibrios were sensitive to most of the antibiotics tested. Immunological studies showed that the five strains belonged to th...

Green Driver: AI in a Microcosm

The Green Driver app is a dynamic routing application for GPS-enabled smartphones. Green Driver combines client GPS data with real-time traffic light information provided by cities to determine optimal routes in response to driver route requests. Routes are optimized with respect to travel time, with the intention of saving the driver both time and fuel, and rerouting can occur if warranted. Du...
